HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!
It's the 4th of July...but more importantly it's my mama's birthday!
Today my mom will turn 80 years old. Do you all know how blessed i feel to have her here and near me.
This is the woman who birthed me...who raised me...the first to instruct me on values and such...the woman who for the most part of my life has had the biggest influence on me and my decisions.
How can i not shout out my mama!
She is an icon of her own sort...raised away from her bio father and mother and yet raised to be the glorious and respected woman she is.
She never took shit off of anybody!
Always spoke her word and lived by her creed!
She is gracious and kind, but when pushed a lion.
She is the Monarch of our family.
She is the jewel of our family.
She is cherished and loved by all, an i am so grateful to be one of her own, but even if i wasn't i am grateful to know this woman of strength and fortitude.
She is...
She is my mother, my friend, my sister, my role model.
She is excellence to the nth degree.
I would never be who i am without her...THANK YOU MOM!

Tell Mama I said Happy Birthday. Btw, while your at it, ask her to give you some tips on were to find all the good men. She's tell you they are west of the MIssissippi River. It appears your mother gave you all the tools necessary to be a good woman. But I wonder why you can't hold a tune *wink*.
