Deal with this mass of ignorance surrounding our President Obama and his last term. Some or maybe most of you may think we are ignorant by birth, but i beg to differ. Sister, I feel you. And I got tired of being angry at stuff that ain't gonna change when I get angry.
Foolish are foolish until THEY decide to stop, not because I get angry at them. This was a very hard won lesson for me.
I have decided to be my true self, and to spend time cultivating what that is. I accept the fools, the ignorami, the pimps, playas and hustlas, the women who chase them, and alla that.
I'm learning to light my lamp and let it shine, and who is attracted is who I'll deal with. And in the words of Erykah Badu, "those who don't want to be down, just don't want to".
This approach has brought my pressure back down, and I notice some frown lines on my face smoothing out too! *smiles*
Ditto! Amen! Applause! A standing ovation! Just this weekend I was saying how I stopped inviting certain people over because they'd never show up with anything, but always wanted to leave with something even after eating and drinking their fill.
Social media pretty much repulses me and I've more htan drastically reduced my visits to FB. People are so pathetic and live behind the facade of internet.
We, as black women do NEED to be and do more for ourselves and stop having such low standards. Those are the one that are making it hard for us good ones. I'm sick of being called "stuck up", "thinking I'm better than" or "she bougie" because I have class, morals, and standards.

There is an old lady who lives a block away from me. She insists on walking her dog to in front of my house and allowing him to handle his business before turning around to go home. It bothers me so much because its rude, disrespectful and I hate dogs. SMH

I'm feeling this entire post. I hate hate HATE all these articles about Black women having issues and being angry. Sometimes I just want to send a huge F*CK YOU to all the articles writers and researchers. We aren't angry, just dealing with the hands we were dealt and making the most of it. Just UGH...
